“Big data” is changing the way organizations function and the way individuals make decisions. Thus, we need to re-examine what we know about organizational behavior and decision-making. How will you leverage big data to solve important organizational issues?
A greater focus on collecting and analyzing massive amounts of data means that decision-makers are inundated with information. How can decision-makers critically assess results and, in turn, clearly communicate insights from big data to different audiences? This class focuses on the following themes:
- How can we leverage lessons from big data to solve existing organizational issues/problems?
- What new organizational issues are caused by the rise of big data?
- How can technical and non-technical work colleagues collaborate to solve organizational problems using analytical insights?
